Cantor began building organs in 1983. From the beginning, Cantor's vision was to design a digital organ that would be respected for its highest sound quality and technology. To accomplish this, organists and electronics engineers applied their combined knowledge of the traditional pipe organ with modern technology to usher in a new era in organ building that accurately replicates the tonal quality and accuracy of wind blown pipe speech. To this day, this commitment still remains Cantor's highest priority. To
accomplish this, the first logical step is to establish an open line of
communication to evaluate the needs of the client. It is our hope that each
client obtains a clear understanding of the possibilities and characteristics
that make Cantor a pipe organ replica for any style and application.
Cantor’s
consoles and case designs demonstrate the highest standards of workmanship. Even
the smallest details are constructed with care and attention. Cantor uses the same concept in real time digital waveform technology. Their systems are slightly more hardware intensive and are thus capable of producing a wider range of harmonics than any other system available. This will yield more definition in the pipe voice and more control of nuances in pipe speech for the organist who demands the most exacting detail. Due to the variations in design and tonal requirements, Cantor organs are priced on an individual basis, with respect to the console style and each organ’s specific computer and audio requirements.
