Digital Church Organ Systems - Featuring Eminent DCS Digital Organ Systems

This site features examples of the Eminent Digital Organ. What you will expect to hear is a large magnificent organ like the one pictured above in a huge cathedral with at least 30 channels of audio.... Not so..
The following organ recordings were on our smallest and least expensive DCS 286 and DCS 325 organs with only 5 channels of audio. The locations are real world environments. The first set of examples was recorded at St. James Lutheran Church, Union Bridge Maryland. This is a small church with poor acoustics. I choose these models for one simple reason, To find a friendly acoustic environment for organ and choral music in most churches is rare! The second example is a 12' x 14' living room full of furniture and carpet.
The recordings at St. James Lutheran Church were recorded on a portable Sony Mini Disc Recorder with a pair of Nakamichi CM 300 microphones with super omni capsules. The mikes were placed in the center Isle in the middle of the room. Absolutely no audio processing or EQ was done to the recordings. The Real audio has been processed for a 56K modem for now. A Special Thank you to my good friend, David Lau at Brookwood Recording Studio for the use of his microphones.
The home recording was actually recorded with a pair of Audio Technica unipoints going into a small digital camcorder. There is absolutely no audio processing, or EQ in the recordings.
Real Audio requires Real Player which you can download for free. (look carefully for the free version, they want you to buy the full version)
If you would rather download MP3's click the MP3 link. I have tried to keep the files small by linking each verse when possible to save download time for MP3 Audio. Please note copyright information at the bottom of the page.

This Real Media File is a 32Kb stream due to the complex voices. It will
take about 45 sec. to load on a 56K modem... but well worth it! |
